RESCUEBASE Oy (”Controller”) respects your privacy and is committed to safeguard the privacy of those persons (“User”) using “Controller’s” online service “Rescuebase”, available from Apple’s ‘App Store’, Google’s ‘Google Play’ and https://app.rescuebase.net/ (“Service”). This Privacy Policy provides “Users” information on how the “Controller” processes their personal data and how the “Controller” protects the same. Personal data refers to personally identifiable information, such as name, address, and email address. We encourage the “User” to read this document before using the “Service”. If you do not agree with the terms, do not access or use the “Service” or any other aspect of “Controller’s” business.
Personal data may be processed for the purposes of using, maintaining, and developing the “Service”. The “Controller” commits to adhere to the provisions of the Personal Data Act and other such applicable laws and regulations pertaining to the processing of personal data, as well as process personal data in compliance with good processing practice. The “Controller” will pursue to take appropriate measures in order to prevent unauthorized access to personal data, any inappropriate use thereof, and any possible inaccuracies. The register will consist of the following information:
Optional information includes first name, last name, vacancy number, phone number, and location. Pseudonym and email address will be collected from “Users” when they sign up for the “Service”. On “Service”, your pseudonym, first name, last name, vacancy number, and phone number are always listed publicly to other users of the “Service”. The “Controller” may, at its own initiative or upon a “User’s” request, complement, correct, or delete incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated personal data.
The “Controller” will not disclose personal data stored in the register to third parties for direct marketing, market research, polls, or public registers. In exceptional circumstances, personal data may be disclosed to third parties if required under any applicable law or regulations or order by competent authorities, or in order to enforce the terms of service and to investigate possible infringing use of the “Service” as well as to guarantee the safety of the “Service”. The “Controller” may use external service providers to provide technical solutions for processing stored data and access the stored data by using a technical interface.
The register will be maintained in external service providers’ servers with appropriate safeguards, such as password protection, granting the access to the stored information only to the “Controller”. The register is protected by appropriate industry-standard, technical, and organizational safety measures. The database will be accessible only to those persons expressly authorized by the “Controller”.
A “User” is entitled to review any information collected on him/her and stored in the register once per year free of charge. When a “User” wishes to use the above right to review stored information, the “User” should send a signed request thereof to the “Controller” using the contact details below. A “User” may also review any information collected on him/her and stored in the register independently by using a technical interface, username, and password, and update and modify the stored personal data.
The “Controller” may change this Privacy Policy from time to time, and in the “Controller‘s” sole discretion. All changes hereto will be made available on this page, which is why the “Controller” encourages “Users” to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Changes hereto will not prejudice “Users’” rights without their consent. The “Controller” will inform the “Users” of material changes by sending an email or other such applicable way. If you disagree with the changes to this Privacy Policy, you should delete your “Service” account.
To the extent prohibited by applicable law, “Controller” does not allow the use of our “Service” by anyone younger than 18 years old. If you learn that anyone younger than 18 has unlawfully provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
